WHAT IS REVERSE LOGISTICS?
Reverse logistics works the opposite way to the normal supply chain with goods or products making their way from the end consumer back to the supplier.
This may be because the customer no longer requires the goods, they ordered the wrong items, the product did not meet their expectations, or they simply changed their mind.
It is also often referred to as the return’s management process.
Some key aspects of reverse logistics include providing customers with support, transporting, receiving, and storing the returned goods, then sorting these goods. This could mean repairing faulty items, recycling unusable stock, or adding the returned goods that can be reused back into your sellable stock.
